A Better World is an after-school program for at-risk kids who live in troubled homes and neighborhoods. We equip them with the skills and confidence to be responsible adults by nurturing their physical, academic and spiritual development. The kids who stick with our program are guaranteed a positive, life-changing experience.

It is our mission to empower individuals and families facing pregnancy or abortion-related issues to choose life by sharing compassion, hope, education and healing through the love of Jesus Christ.

At Harvest House, it is our mission to  create a community where individuals impacted by homelessness, poverty and unemployment are empowered through our transitional programs and transformed by the love and ministry of Jesus Christ.

Everyone can do something: From investing financially, to engaging in foster care or adoption, we believe every Christian is commissioned by God to care for the the orphan in the womb and outside the womb. Whether you’re an adult or a teenager, everyone can do something.

Learning Help Centers of Charlotte provides scholastic, spiritual and social support to families mired in generational poverty. Our goal is to advocate for, invest in and mobilize resources to benefit awesome, yet vulnerable, children and families.

LOT Carolinas' purpose is to identify and service the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of children and their caregivers, with the primary focus on children in foster/kinship care. Through a community effort of local churches, businesses, and caring citizens; applying the Biblical principle of helping those in need to glorify God.

Samaritan's Purse mobilizes and equips thousands of volunteers to provide emergency aid to U.S. victims of wildfires, floods, tornadoes, hurricanes, and other natural disasters. In the aftermath of major storms, we often stay behind to rebuild houses for people with nowhere else to turn for help.

Seeds of Hope is dedicated to building community and providing financial support for talented young adults. Our scholars are leaders with big dreams and have a heart to serve their communities.

West Blvd Ministry is starting a 'Homework Helper' program in Little Rock Apartments (5712 Leake Street). The group will be meeting at the multi purpose room on Tuesdays & Thursdays (3-5pm). NEEDED: 12 volunteers per Tuesday & Thursday. Looking for both women and men.

"YoungLives - Charlotte Urban" has opportunities to be YL leaders, YL Mentors but also opportunities to serve at our Bridging the Gap virtual learning center Mondays - Thursdays as room coordinators, bus/van drivers (we provide transportation for students), and tutors.

"YoungLives - York County" is a local ministry of YoungLife that is aimed about helping teen moms.  To get involved, reach out to

Youth Commission exists to reach the world for Christ through youth. We host student-led, adult supported, Bible clubs in middle and high schools throughout Charlotte and the surrounding areas. Our student leaders seek to proclaim the Gospel through weekly Bible studies, fervent prayer and regular service projects on their school campus and throughout their community.
